MEET OSCAR

Hello,

My name is Oscar.

Actually, people also call me Oscar The Golden Dog. They say it’s because I am a Golden Retriever. In fact, I really am a Golden Dog, because I am worth millions. Or I will be! That is because I am a partner in a business that is worth millions. Well, not yet, but the day will come.

Anyway, here goes my story: Two years ago I was having the hardest time of my life. Things seemed to be going from bad to worse. I wound up on the streets and finally in a squalid shelter. Don’t ask me how, because I don’t remember. And I don’t even want to.

The advantages of being a dog.

As days passed, locked in that horrible place, my only thought was that I had to get out of here. Then, one morning, a guy and a girl appeared on the other side of those bars. I’m sure that the whole universe aligned itself with my thoughts and put these people right in front of me.

Apparently, the law of attraction actually works, at least for dogs. These two people were very stirred, they spoke loudly and precipitated and talked to the big ugly man who kept guard over the cages. The guard entered the cage, gave me a shot and all I remember is that I woke up in a car, really dizzy and with no balls.

Stupid laws these humans have! You can’t walk out of a dog shelter other than castrated. Still, I think it’s better to have no balls but to be free, rather than to have the “jewels” and to be scheduled for euthanasia.

Because that’s what could have been waiting for me. However, being as beautiful as I am, it’s a shame not to have any heirs. But I heard something about cloning beingpractised. If you find out anything, let me know.

But I digress. It took several months for me to get back on my feet. I had some help too: mum and dad, the many visits to the vet. (Yeah, that’s me, with the ugly “hat”. I’m a real trendsetter, isn’t it?)

Moreover, I had the friendship of the other two dogs already living in the house of my adoptive parents: Rocca and Happy.

And that's my "house-warming" party. And what a party!

Dad likes walks and holidays a lot. And even though I don’t enjoy being in the car at all, I love visiting and sniffing new places. I somehow adjusted to travelling in the car, but walking on a leash was harder. Because I am a tugger and a lunatic.

After testing a whole bunch of dog leashes, my dad started designing one of his own. We did it together, as you can imagine.

I would break it, he would make it again.

I think that’s the moment when dad came up with the brilliant idea of being partners in Pet Dreamland.

We made the deal undoubtedly. Why not help other dogs enjoy this wonderful leash as well?

Did I tell you that my dad takes me with him about everywhere? And with the new leash, our walks became a lot more enjoyable. It no longer hurts my neck or daddy’s hands when I tug, which means longer strolls and more adventures.

And you know what the fun part is?

Because he has free hands, I asked my dad to film me. I am making a vlog! It’s gonna be fun!
